January 11-13 / Arizona Season Opener / USEF "A" Rated / Westworld
The former "B" rated Cactus Classic January has a new name and a new rating. The Arizona Season Opener is "A" rated and is the perfect way to get started for next year and warm-up for the 2008 Arizona Winter Circuit. Affordable classes and a great facility are trademarks of this show. Also hosting the 2008 Grand Canyon State Games Equestrian Events over the weekend!
March 19-23 / Scottsdale Spring Festival / USEF "AA" Rated & USEF Three Star *** Jumper / Westworld
March 26-30 / Scottsdale Spring Classic / USEF "AA" Rated & USEF Three Star *** Jumper / Westworld
BIG NEWS!!!! These two weeks of shows are now officially USEF "AA" rated, meaning a guaranteed $36,000+ in rated hunter money and lots of USEF HOTY points over the two weeks. Anchored by a $20,000 Grand Prix each week, AND THE NEW $10,000 USHJA INTERNATIONAL HUNTER DERBY the first week, these shows are the best of the CEP shows in the spring. Top competition, top jumps and courses, top prize money and great hospitality mark these shows. Get your entries in early, as once again stalls are limited and these shows have sold out the past four years.
Apr 12-13 / Cactus Classic April / USEF "B" Rated / Westworld
This two-day USEF "B" show is the perfect way to wrap up the spring schedule before going underground for the summer! Two rings and great hunter and equitation classes (no jumpers) designed for the beginner and intermediate horses and riders.
September 27-28 / Cactus Classic September / USEF "B" Rated / Westworld
A great way to start off the fall show season … an affordable two-day "B" show! Don't worry about the heat … with two covered arenas at Westworld, who cares that it's still 90+ degrees out! Affordable classes (no jumpers) and a great facility are trademarks of these shows.
October 16-19 / Scottsdale Fall Preview / USEF "A" Rated & USEF One Star * Jumper / Westworld
October 23-26 / Scottsdale Fall Classic / USEF "A" Rated & USEF One Star * Jumper / Westworld
Two weeks of "A" shows in Scottsdale in October offer everything the hunter jumper competitor could want, from full beginner divisions to great jumper classes! And don't forget the Halloween Costume Class on the Saturday of the second show!
November 19-23 / Arizona Season Finale / USEF "A" Rated & USEF Three Star *** Jumper / Westworld
The flagship of the CEP shows! Not to mention daytime temperatures that average 72 degrees, nights around 42 degrees, very little wind and no frozen footing in the morning! The facility boasts three covered arenas and six outdoor rings, along with 672 permanent stalls, all with rubber mats … need we say more? Over $35,000 in total prize money will be offered including a $20,000 Grand Prix. The "A" rating, combined with the designation "2008 Zone Championship Show" (applied), will award lots of points to those looking to finish the year strong in the USEF Zone and National rankings. Also hosting the 2008 Greenway Saddlery / CEP Equitation Challenge Finals! This is truly the show not to miss!

The 2008 Greenway Saddlery / CEP Equitation Challenge Series
CEP is proud to continue to offer the Equitation Challenge series at all of its shows in 2008. How does it work?
There will be three classes offered at each show:
CEP Mini Equitation Challenge Class - 2'6"
CEP Children's Equitation Challenge Class - 3'0"
CEP Adult Equitation Challenge Class - 3'0"
These classes will offer challenging and exciting courses with tests built-in. No need to hang around waiting for a work-off.
NEW QUALIFYING SPECS FOR 2008: Points will be awarded to the top six placing entries (10, 6, 4, 2, 1, 1/2). Winners may continue to ride in the class throughout the year. After the final qualifying show, the top eight in points will qualify for the finals, regardless of their point totals and whether or not they won any of the qualifying classes. This rewards consistency and prevents those that may have only shown in it once or twice from taking up a spot at the finals. Qualifying will end at the Scottsdale Fall Classic on October 23-26 so that invitations to the finals can be sent out and confirmed. Riders failing to accept their invitation will be eliminated from the finals and the next qualified rider will be invited. Two entries are required to run this class.
No memberships or extra fees are required. No need to fill anything out. Just enter the classes and have a good time. We'll keep track of it all!
The 2008 Greenway Saddlery / CEP Equitation Challenge Series Finals will be held in conjunction with the Arizona Season Finale Horse Show at Westworld on November 19-23, 2008. Lots of great prizes for both the riders and trainers!
